Day trip to Montville to see the Goldmans

Today we drove out to Mommy's hometown to visit with her childhood friend Lisa and her two boys, Rudy (5) and Louis (2). When we arrived Lisa made us a great lunch. While Rudy was in school we went to the Montville Park where Louis and Luca played and we all enjoyed the fabulous, bizarre 70 degree January weather.

I miss the old days when we lived next door to each other and we could just run thru the evergreen trees, into each others backyards, onto the deck and rap at the kitchen door for daily playdates. That sure would be fun now with our own kids who really had a great time together today. Looking forward to doing it again soon :)

Umbria

Over the week of Christmas and New Years we went to Italy to visit with Nonno and Nonna. This trip was special since we got to stay at a beautiful villa in Umbria and explore a new region of the country. We flew into Rome and drove a couple hours into the countryside where we enjoyed the week in a restored villa owned by friends of the Molinaris.

Here is a link to some of our pictures:

Umbria

Gioel and I were lucky to be able to run off to Rome for a few nights and explore the city, while Luca hung out in Umbria with his grandparents. Gioel's sister, Micol and her boyfriend Alex flew in from London and met us in Rome. Our first night together we had a fantastic dinner at La Pergola (one of the most highly regarded restaurants in all of Italy) so as usual, many of our pictures are yet again of food! Luca isnt in any of these pictures, but I am posting on the blog anyway:
